Ralph Cohn, Jack Cohn and Harry Cohn founded Pioneer Telefilms in 1947. Columbia acquired it for 50k bucks and turned it into Screen Gems. the new Screen Gems started on April 15th 1949. in 1951 it became a full-fledged tv studio. in the 50s Screen Gems started owning TV and radio stations. it somehow partially had [[Canal 11 Televisión|Canal 11 Televisi''ó''n]] in Venezuela from 1966 to 1968. in 1963 Screen Gems entered music publishing and from it the music division they made, Screen Gems-Columbia Music got sold to EMI for 23,5 million bucks in 1976. in 1965 [[Columbia Pictures]] acquired a fifty per cent interested in [[Elliot Unger Elliot, Inc.|EUE]], which was then merged with Screen Gems and became [[EUE/Screen Gems, Ltd.|EUE/Screen Gems]].
