Background
american film and television studio in miami. stephen and michael elliot founded a studio in new york city as photographers for stores and agencies. in 1948 they teamed up with william unger to form "Elliot, Unger & Elliot" (EUE), aka one of the earliest commercial production companies for the tv industry. in 1959 Columbia Pictures got EUE and merged it with Screen Gems and renamed it to "EUE/Screen Gems". in 1983 George Cooney bought it from The Coca-Cola Company. in 1996 they acquired Carolco Pictures' Wilmington, NC studios. that then became EUE/Screen Gems Studios. in 2015 they launched studios in Miami in partnership with Viacom. this was built by the Miami Omni CRA. in September 2023 Cinespace Studios acquired the Atlanta and Wilmington studio facilities.
