in 1996 EUE/Screen Gems Ltd. took over Carolco Pictures' film and production studios in Wilmington, North Carolina. The place transformed into the new EUE/Screen Gems Studios headquarters. This company has no relations with Sony Pictures Entertainment, but they still have the Screen Gems logo. in September 2023 Cinespace Studios acquired the Atlanta and Wilmington studios
